Monochrome on Toned Paper

Over the past several months, I've done a lot of monochrome illustrations on toned paper. I really like the look; maybe it's time for me to try some in different colors of ink and paper.

Inspiration: Russell Stutler's Sketchbook

If you want to learn about sketching on the go, Russell Stutler's Sketchbook is well worth your time. Russell is an artist/missionary living in Japan, and an avid sketcher of the people and architecture of Japan. On his website, you can look through his sketchbooks from 2001 to the present or read one of his many articles about sketching.
