Food

Food makes a good subject for envelope illustrations, and Postcrossers often express an interest in the card sender's local cuisine. Here are some food-themed illustrations:

Mailed June 14, 2012

A pen pal wrote to me about a cooking class she had taken with a local catering business.
Included with her letter was an advertising postcard from the caterer depicting their gourmet
box lunches. I decided to mimic the postcard with this illustration showing only the remnants of
the lunch. Mailed Sept. 27, 2012

Gotta have my coffee! Mailed Feb. 18, 2014

Memphis-style baby back ribs on the grill! Mailed July 28, 2014

Christmas cookies. Mailed Dec. 13, 2014

An illustrated recipe. Postcrossing postcard mailed to
the Netherlands on May 4, 2015
