Black Paper

Around the time I decided to hand illustrate all my envelopes, I was experimenting with drawing on black paper. I thought the effect would look good for envelope illustrations, so I made a few envelopes with black Canson Mi-teintes paper, and have illustrated them with various white inks, gouache, colored pencil, and even bleach:

Early Efforts
